Course Objectives

  • Reconstructive medical tattooing represents a revolution in the field of dermopigmentation and a fundamental support for people who have faced surgery, trauma or pathologies that have compromised the appearance of the skin.
  • We will explore this specialist area which not only improves aesthetics, but contributes to the psychological well-being of patients, promoting the recovery of their self-esteem.
  • We will start with an overview of reconstructive medical tattooing: what it is, who it is aimed at and what benefits it brings. We will delve into the importance of anatomical knowledge to operate safely, preparing the client carefully and following rigorous hygiene and health protocols.
  • A particular focus will be dedicated to the instrumentation and specific pigments, essential elements to guarantee natural and long-lasting results. Also presenting the latest technological innovations, such as the exclusive Skin Tone technique, we will show how precision in treatments can be further improved.
  • Finally, we will analyze the techniques for repairing scars and reconstructing the breast areola, with concrete examples of cases treated in my practice. The aim is to demonstrate how reconstructive tattooing can represent a bridge between medicine and aesthetics, offering personalized and high-quality solutions.

3.30pm - 4.00pm | Introduction: What is reconstructive medical tattooing

• Definition and purpose of reconstructive medical tattooing.
• Difference between aesthetic permanent makeup and medical tattoo.

• Main applications:
- Reconstruction of the breast areola.
- Camouflage of scars and vitiligo.
- Post-chemotherapy support and correction of congenital malformations (e.g. cleft lip).

• Physical and psychological benefits for patients.

4.00pm - 4.30pm | Anatomy and preparation of the client in safety

• Importance of knowledge of anatomy:
- Types of scars and tissues that can be treated.
- Post-operative skin and sensitivity.

• Customer rating:
- Medical analysis and collection of information on general health.
- Exclusion of contraindications (allergies, infections, etc.).

• Sanitary regulations:
- Sterilization of instruments.
- Sterile and safe environment to prevent infections.

• Communication with the customer: management of expectations and psychological preparation.

4.30pm - 5.00pm | Equipment and pigments for medical makeup and tattooing

• Instrumentation overview:
- Specific machinery for medical tattoos.
- Technological innovations, including the app for pigment selection (e.g. 'Skin Tone' treatment).

• Medical pigments:
- Types, safety and durability.
- Differences compared to permanent makeup pigments.
- How to choose the correct pigment based on your skin tone and type.

5.00pm - 5.30pm | Scar repair techniques and breast areola reconstruction

How to work on scars:
- Camouflage techniques for surgical and traumatic scars.
- Importance of adapting the treatment to the texture and color of the skin.

Reconstruction of the breast areola:
- Advanced technique to simulate three-dimensionality and naturalness.
- Collaboration with cosmetic surgeons to ensure optimal results.
- Presentation of case studies and results obtained.
